Is there an airport nearby?

Capitol Hill Hotel is an easy commute from all of Washington D.C.’s airports. Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, under five miles away, is a direct Blue Line ride away on the Metro (approximately 30 minutes) or a ten-minute drive. Dulles International Airport is a 40-minute drive from our hotel, and BWI is 45 minutes away. For more information, see our directions.

Is there valet parking? If so, how does the valet parking work?

We offer overnight valet parking for just $50 (tax inclusive) per night. Be sure to also view our parking package for the best deal in Capitol Hill Parking. Our parking is limited and based on availability.

What’s the best way to get around the city?

We recommend using one of our bespoke Republic bicycles to check out bike-friendly Washington on two wheels. Guided bus tours are also a great way to see the main sights. And just a few blocks away from Capitol Hill Hotel, the Capitol South Metro stop’s Blue, Orange and Silver lines connect guests to other neighborhoods and attractions like Georgetown, the National Mall, Union Station, Dupont Circle and the waterfront.

Is there housekeeping service?

What type of in-room technology can I expect?

I love some of the items in my room, can I purchase them and take home with me?

We’re so glad to hear that! Our plush robes, monogrammed umbrellas and Harry’s shaving kits may be purchased. Please inquire about other products, such as our signature Do Not Disturb signs and decorative pillows.

What are the normal check-in and check-out times?

Check-in begins at 3pm, and guests must check out by 12pm.

Can you check in early?

We will try our best to accommodate your request. Please contact the hotel directly to arrange.

How late can we check in?

Front desk staff is available to check you in 24 hours a day.

Can I store my luggage before or after I check out?

Yes, please contact the hotel directly to arrange.

Can I have my clothes laundered and dry cleaned?

Yes, there’s daily laundry service. All clothes must be received by 9am for same-day return. We also have coin-operated self-service laundry available for guests.

Do you have a shoe shine service?

We do not.

How do I schedule a wake-up call?

We can arrange wake-up calls. Please contact the front desk staff to arrange a time.

Can I have ice sent to my room?

Please speak with the front desk staff directly to arrange.

If I am traveling on business, what types of services can you support me with?

In addition to in-room wifi, guests can access our 24-hour business center for printing and faxing services.

Do you have a gym? If so, what type of equipment can I expect?

Capitol Hill’s 24-hour secure fitness center provides everything you need to keep up with your fitness routine when away from home. Our fitness center includes Peloton bikes, cardio equipment with TVs, free weights, medicine balls, benches and machines.

Where can I securely store my valuables?

Guest rooms include a laptop safe for storing valuables.

Can I send a package to the hotel?

Are there smoking rooms? And can I smoke in public spaces?

No, Capitol Hill Hotel is a smoke-free property.

Can I leave my car in the parking garage after checking out? Will there be an additional charge?

We’re pleased to offer on-property parking to our guests. Guests must leave by 3pm on their day of check-out to avoid being charged for the next day.

Can a third party pay for my reservation?

Yes. Please contact the hotel directly to arrange.

Will my credit card be charged when I make my reservation?

Credit card charges will vary depending on rate. Please check the Terms & Conditions of the offer you are booking. Some reservations require a deposit and will be charged at the time or reservation, while others will store credit card information until check-in.

What is your cancellation policy?

We have a basic 48-hour cancellation policy. Some packages may be non-refundable.

Do you have room service?

We do not offer room service, but our Lobby Market is open 24 hours, stocked with a selection snacks and drinks.  

Is my ID/passport required at check-in?

Yes. An ID or passport and credit card are required at check-in.

Do kids stay free?

Yes. Children under the age of 12 stay free at Capitol Hill Hotel.

Where are you located?

Capitol Hill Hotel is located at 200 C Street SE Washington D.C., 20003. It’s in Capitol Hill, conveniently located near the DC Metro, which connects visitors to every neighborhood in the District. For more information, see our directions.

Does your hotel offer currency exchange?

No, it does not. There are multiple currency exchange offices and banks in Washington that can, though. Please contact the hotel directly for more information.

Are there minibars in the rooms?

There are currently no mini-bars in guest rooms. We have a Lobby Market that’s open 24 hours a day with a selection snacks and drinks. The lobby also provides coffee, tea and water all day. Learn more about Capitol Hill Hotel amenities here.

Are extra beds or rollaway beds available?

Yes, Capitol Hill Hotel provides extra beds for a $25 fee.

Is there a limit to how long I can stay?

We have so many recommendations for what you should see and do during your stay. Our hotel is conveniently close to some of the city’s most iconic attractions, including the National Mall, Supreme Court, Union Station and the Library of Congress.
